■He can’t work like when he was young…■

> China probably has a flexible body for acrobatics, right?
I want to see China do a complex pose with composure.

[T/N: Tiger Balm, good stuff.]

■Germany, Italy and the Kubelwagen■

And then, he’s said to have been rescued after 30 minutes by a man who was around there.

[T/N: This is a Kubelwagen, a military vehicle designed by Ferdinand Porche and built up by Volkswagen during ww2.
As for that Giulini Italy’s talking about, I seriously don’t have the slightest idea of who he may be.]

Today’s story is related to soccer.

The centre lower-left banner of a Liechtenstein’s Football Association doesn’t hide their excitement.

■Liechtenstein vs. England■

Year 2003, March 29th. In the fourth smallest country in the world
Liechtenstein’s small stadium the
Euro 2004 Soccer Preliminary Contest was going on.

That was before Liechtenstein vs. England’s match.

Liechtenstein and England’s anthems’ melodies are the same.

Because of that, in the singing of the national anthems before the match,
the thought “Ehh? Why is the same song going twice”
while England tries to sing “God save our gracious queen” loudly
seems like a strange occurrence is happening.

Liechtenstein, although she was the lowest seat in the group for 10,000 years
(In this EURO match enduring against her opponent
Macedonia got the one sole point in the score.)
In that battle against England, Liechtenstein did not win very many points
from her opponent but it seems she showed him a solid play.

Afterward a cute Mr. Beckham
trades uniforms again within another team.

“Because I’m worried about security*,
I don’t want to do it in Liechtenstein…”
The true Mr. Beckham has appeared and also
he seemed to have quite an annoyed face.

Liechtenstein enduring.

*1 Liechtenstein doesn’t have an army. There are 70 people in its police.

■Super Angry Japan■

The second panel.

■Lazy Japan’s Anger – Part 2■

Although he may seem calm, he shows no mercy when it comes to food.
That’s Turkey in the 4th panel.

■Excuses■

Italians’ excuses are too cute.

■March Revolution Executive■

What’s this miserable revolution?

【Revolutions of the year 1848】

The wind of revolution was enfolding all Europe

【March Revolution】

In Vienna too there has been a revolution once, but,
for a thing like “France is doing it, actual life conditions are painful,
well then shall we make a revolution?” started the miserable March Revolution.

【Sophie】

The Archduchesses and Empress that cast away the older Metternich.
Sophie Friederike Dorothea Wilhelmine von Bayern.

Thanks to the uprising of this revolution,
her pretext was said to be the will of the whole nation.
At the imperial court she managed to cast away
the spendthrift, huge-faced Metternich.

Even though she’s famous for being an historical unkind mother-in-law,
to tell the truth she’s said to have had difficulties in many things.

【Metternich】
Klemens Wenzel Nepomuk Lothar von Metternich.

The lady-killers, genius of diplomacy, Austrian prime minister (German)
Metternich was a spendthrift (he gave a villa as a present
in order to cheer up the daughter of Napoleon) but,
since he was clever and showed talent also in the field of diplomacy,
Austria, after he was drove out, without knowing who was better
at doing what, entered in a chaotic situation both up and down.

Only one man is gone but everyone get nervous. Austria, it’s a great country.

Austria’s domestic affairs were like this but, at Custoza,
it will be decided to start a struggle “to the death” against Italy, in the rain.

[T/N: One of the revolutions that broke out in 1848 in German states, during which the
Austrian prime minister Klemens von Metternich was asked by the Diet of Lower Austria to resign.
In the end, the Emperor of Austria (Sophie von Bayern was the wife of the Emperor’s brother)
complied to the Diet’s requests and dismissed him.
As for Custoza, it is one of the battles of the First Italian Independence War.]

■The three Baltic States that lacks unity■

By the way, in the long history of the three Baltic States it seems like they had
internal discord because of the degree of independence from the Soviet Union,
and obtaining it took a long time, and also, during WW2,
because they didn’t know if they should side up with Germany or Russia.

Eventually, they turned to neutrality…

…but it occurred the worst situation,
that is to say they got attacked by both sides.
