>Do you have any advice for me about Emote Free Movie Maker? I’m not doing so well on my own.
I’m not good enough myself to be able to advise anyone, but I’ll try to write down what I’ve learned through trial and error.
When you open the template, you’ll probably be surprised by how many layers there are, but there’ll be a fair number of them that you don’t end up using.
If you end up adding more moving parts later, you can easily import them and overlay, so it might be a good idea to start by drawing one version of the nose, outline of the face, bangs, body, eyes and mouth and then try to play around with moving them.
The types of hairstyles I recommend when using Emote Free Movie Maker are bob cuts and cowlicks. They benefit the most from smooth hair motion.
I’d like to give long hair a shot sometime, but it seems like it’d be pretty difficult to have it move dramatically.
Characters with prominent noses seem to face to the side a lot. It might be possible to have them face to the side just like that by using the wraparound function. This is making me want to set even more goals for myself.
