I rely on Osprey Publishing’s work for everything regarding military uniforms! By which I mean that if you try to track down sources on military matters, you usually end up with Osprey anyway.
They publish a lot of books concentrating on a specific country in a specific time period, so if you want to find out about many different time periods and countries it might become a bit expensive…
