Hetalia x Hitsuji de Oyasumi Vol 4: Japan & China – Track 03 “I think sheep counting to yourself might be more effective, aru!”

*sounds of night and thinking*

Japan: I…wonder how long I shall have to wait?

China: *light bulb* Japan…I just realized something!

Japan: What is it?

China: This sheep counting thing… Aren’t you suppose to count them yourself instead of someone counting them for you?

Japan: You just realized this?!

China: I’ve made such a horrible mistake! I never thought I’d actually get the method wrong! Even a master can have a few trips in battle!* The idiom “Anyone can make a mistake (koubou ni mo fude no ayamari)”, they say in your home would be appropriate now, Japan!

[T/N: *I can’t really pick up what China says here so I assume he says a phrase that relates to people making mistakes because he gave Japan a Japanese idiom he could learn from.]

Japan: Indeed so. Well then, if you shall pardon me.

China: Wait right there!

Japan: What are you doing?!

China: That’s my line! Just when I thought of a good way to put you to sleep, you’re up and leaving just like that!

Japan: And this good way would be?

China: It’s obvious! You’re going to count sheep to yourself! If you do, you’ll definitely fall asleep!

Japan: I humbly refuse.

China: Why?!

Japan: I believe I have repeated this before, but I am not in the least bit sleepy and I must return home soon!

China: You’re going to stay in my home and take it easy! I’m staying right here and watching you until you fall asleep!

Japan: China…

China: Now hurry up and lie down! Get to counting those sheep! Listen to your older brother!

Japan: As I have said, I am not your little brother… *sighs* Even I am getting tired of saying no…

China: Come on, get to the counting!

Japan: I have no alternatives. I understand.
